I am thrilled that you are interested in health and clearing all of your confusion about the best way to lose weight and achieve optimal health simply and quickly.
My name is Galit Goldfarb and for the past 22 years I have been helping clients, friends and family heal from disease, and different disorders and also lose weight in a natural and easy to follow process. This process is based both on my extensive studies in Nutrition, Biochemistry, Immunology and Medical Science e (See my short biography here), my doctoral research into the ideal diet for humans (watch my TEDx talk on this subject) and also my personal healing experience from cancer, being overweight and suffering from bulimia.
As someone who has both studied the science and experienced the healing process, I am sure I have the tools to help you.
So let me let me give you a brief outline of this report before we begin:
I’m going to start with the third key to health and natural weight loss and I’m going to count my way down to the #1 most important key to health and natural weight loss, and explain how you can incorporate each step into your work and life environment to help you succeed with your health and weight loss goals.
So let’s begin…
The 3rd Key to health and natural weight loss is:
Removing the formulas!
So what do I mean by formulas? A weight loss formula provides people with a set of rules to keep your weight down, and this includes calorie counting, protein measuring, food combining, exercise regimens, fad diets, and so on.
Let me tell you this: They don’t work in the long term, (which is our aim), because they have nothing to do with changing the CORE of the problem, which is to change WHY we overeat, WHY we have specific food cravings and WHY we prefer to be sedentary.
From this day forward, I dare you to never look at the calorie content of your food! Never look at the protein or carbohydrate content again. I promise you, these are just not relevant to your health or weight loss attempts!
Really, they are not important! And it doesn’t help to get on the scale everyday and look at how many grams you’ve gained or lost. Because there is no quick solution to health or weight loss. Just as the weight and the disease didn’t just appear in your life one day, it won’t change or come off in a day! Looking at the scale will only
frustrate you and you will slowly lose your motivation and your belief that achieving your goal IS possible.
Instead you should put your focus towards what you are eating.
Let’s look at what happens to animals who are fed foods which are not inline with their bodies natural needs: During the 20th century, across north America, the majority of gorillas who share 97.8% of our DNA that were living in zoos were found to be suffering from heart disease, obesity and other modern day diseases. There is almost no evidence of such diseases in gorillas in the wild. In 2005, when a gorilla by the name of Brooks died of heart failure at the young age of 21, and researchers started taking a closer look at gorilla health and diet. Zoos began replacing the high-sugar, high-simple carbohydrate and high animal protein diet, with a diet more inline with their natural diet in the wild and suddenly, gorillas began losing weight even though they doubled their calorie intake, and incidence of disease and obesity dramatically declined and now gorillas in zoos are living longer than ever before.
We humans need to consume the foods we were naturally designed to consume, even if we have do the ability to manufacture other foods.
So what were we naturally designed to consume?
First of all, the more natural the foods, the better! We were not designed to consume anything unnatural. So that removes most of the foods we find on supermarket shelves, 😉
Aim to remove the processed foods in boxes, filled with sugar and unnatural flavorings and colorings. If you read the ingredients label and see something that you can’t pronounce, it is better to avoid it.
Focus on foods that help with health and weight loss! These foods all have two characteristics:
1. They contain prebiotics (foods that support a healthy microbiome).
2. and they have detoxifying properties.
So let’s start with prebiotics, what are prebiotics? Prebiotics are the food that feeds our healthy gut bacteria and ensures it thrives and remains in the proper balance with the unhealthy detrimental gut bacteria. These help us stay healthy and help us get the most out of the foods we eat by making their nutrients more readily available for us. By making their nutrients more readily available for you, these foods will lead you to require less food because your body will feel satisfied quicker by getting the proper nutrition it needs.
But not only will these foods help ensure a healthy gut bacteria that is supportive of our health and reduces appetite, these foods also increase toxin elimination. This is not only important for our health but also in our weight loss attempts because it helps us remove fatty tissue and also store less fatty tissue.
Why?
Because fat tissue has some other activities other than only acting as an energy reservoir. Fat tissue actually acts as a storage compartment for toxins.
Now our body is very smart. When it encounters toxins, it knows that these are a threat to our health, but because the body can’t get rid of them immediately, it uses fat tissue to encapsulate these toxins, so that they won’t run rampant and cause us internal harm, and you better bet on it that this fat tissue will not be released easily. It will only be released when our body is in prime condition with low levels of toxins.
So what are these foods that contain prebiotics and have detoxifying properties?
There are 11 food groups that contain both of these properties in abundance and I want to mention them to you so that you can increase them in your diet:
1. Fruits (all, including some nuts and some legumes that are considered fruits)
2. Stems (celery)
3. Green leaves (spinach)
4. Stems (ginger)
5. Roots (beets)
6. Tubers (potatoes)
7. Bulbs (onions & garlic)
8. Flowers (broccoli)
9. Sea Vegetables
10. Seeds (all, including some legumes that are
considered seeds)
11. Organic whole grains!
Adding these foods to your diet in high proportions will help lead you to better health and simply by increasing these foods in your diet you will automatically be reducing the less positive foods from your diet just because these foods will take a larger bulk of your diet and have you feeling full.
So I’m going to review this step now, in order to reach you health and weight loss goals, you have got to change the way you are going about losing weight and change your habits. You must ditch the formulas, stop calorie counting, protein counting and stop weighing yourself endlessly during the journey to get you to where you desire to be.
Formulas should be removed from our lives or else we will remain slaves to our bodies instead of becoming masters over our health. Formulas lead to a disconnection with your body. They do not allow you to learn to listen to your body’s needs.
And even if certain formulas do work at helping weight loss in the short term they just can’t be sticked with in the long term. These are the precise actions that keep food an obsession. Instead choose foods that are natural health and weight loss promoters. By choosing and increasing the amount of good foods in your diet you will achieve your ideal weight and health goals automatically.
So let’s move onto the second key to Disease and Overeating Prevention.
The second key to health and natural weight loss is:
Don’t rely on your willpower.
There is absolutely no question that you will need some kind of willpower but even with the strongest willpower you will never be able to overcome your survival instinct. Will power will not help you to overcome obstacles on the way all on its own.
When you just start out on a new diet, appealing foods will still appeal to you. Can you imagine that you just started a new diet that doesn’t allow eating any foods that increase the satiety hormone… and you are feeling very hungry. And then your friend comes along from the bakery with a bag of freshly baked croissants. She offers you one and you are hungry what do you think you’re going to do? Well, of course you’re going to eat it because you’re feeling hungry. Then you start to feel that you will not succeed on this diet either and your self esteem starts going down the drain. The reason that willpower is not enough to overcome your survival mechanism, which is stronger than anything else, is because we are programmed to survive, and to survive we need food and when we are hungry any food will do.
Without understanding this point of making sure that you will never be hungry, you will not succeed at dieting and losing weight. And it is not only important to make sure that you’re never hungry, it is also just as important to make sure that when you are hungry that you put in the proper foods into your body. So how do we do that?
You have got to take sequential action steps in order to make sure you have the willpower to say no to foods that are not good for you and do not promote your health and weight loss goals. If you don’t know the steps and you don’t follow them in a sequential pattern then you will be losing one of the major steps to help you in achieving weight loss and the health that you desire. So get your pen ready to write these down:
The first action that you want to do is to remove all stumbling blocks from our way. So how do you do this? You do this by removing all tempting sugar rich foods from all of your cupboards and your refrigerator at home and at work. In fact try to remove all of the unnatural processed foods from your kitchen. People don’t really understand this but none of the other steps that will follow matter if this one is not taken care of first, because when you do get hungry, you will tend to reach out to those foods that are easily accessible and easily consumed without needing almost any work on your behalf. Precisely those foods most appealing to you will be stuck in front of your face and they will always test your willpower, and we don’t want that, we want life to be easy we want weight loss to be easy.
So after you get rid of all of the unhealthy stuff, the next step take is to ensure that you have a good foods readily available to eat at all times. For example in the morning you can chop up some vegetable sticks and put them in a cup in the fridge to have ready for you to eat. If you’re going to work, place them in a box to take with
you and to snack on ensuring you never get hungry. The veggie sticks can be pepper sticks, carrots sticks, celery sticks and so on. You can have some cherry tomatoes washed and ready to eat. You can also have some fruit that that you especially like that you can carry with you to work, such as, apples, bananas, oranges. I also recommend having some nuts handy in a small box, yes, those calorie rich foods!!! These are great to calm you down when nervous. If you get really hungry and need something filling, try dried fruits like dates or apricots.
If you make sure that you are never really hungry and have foods available for you to eat when you do feel even the slightest urge of hunger, then you will never feel starving and you will be able to have sufficient willpower needed to say no when very appealing foods are presented to you.
Actually, when we are hungry our self control is reduced and depending on the level of hunger, may completely be eliminated.
Let’s take an animal as an example… can you imagine your pet cat saying no to any food that you give it when it is starving? Or your dog saying, oh, let me think about it…I don’t know if this is healthy option for me, I won’t have any of that…when it’s starving? Of course not, but when they are full they won’t eat any thing. They’ll just go to the side and nap, and this is your answer!
Making sure that you will never be hungry is the easiest way and the most cost-effective way to ensure that you will succeed at dieting and at achieving your health goals.
Now let’s try this thing again, what if your friend was to come over and offer you a croissant when you had just eaten a few nuts and a healthy, nutrient dense sandwich just before she arrived. Would you be saying yes to her offer or would you be more likely be saying NO thank you… Well, there you have it, that’s your answer.
Now going to cover the number key to health and natural weight loss.
Now this key is the most crucial key and by not following this key it will be the most costly to both your health and your weight. However the good news is that once you correct this and follow this key to health and weight loss, it will make the biggest difference for you and your health and it will make this difference very fast.
Okay, you’re interested so here we go;
The number one key to health and natural weight loss is: (drumroll)
Creating a healthy environment for your cells
Albert Einstein said it best when he said that: “continuing to do the same things and expecting different results is the definition of insanity.”
Once you understand the principles behind creating a healthy environment for your cells, you will always know what to do and you always know what to feed yourself in any situation to achieve the weight loss you want and to stay at a healthy weight. You always know what to do anytime, anywhere and in any situation.
So what exactly do I mean by a healthy cell environment?
When a scientist takes cells he grew on one petri dish and then separates these cells into two Petri dishes but changes the medium of cells (which is the environment of the cells) in each Petri dish. In one Petri dish the scientist will add lots of nutrients, minerals, vitamins, amino acids, essential fats, water and so on and kept clean
and free of toxins, and in the other Petri dish an environment with a slight lack of nutrients and just a minute amount of toxins will remain in the dish. What we will see is very simple:
The cells with the good medium, meaning a healthy cell environment will multiply and flourish, and the cells on the other Petri dish will become diseased and slowly die. Because the environment of the cells determines the fate of cells. And therefore need to create a healthy environment of our cells.
So how can we ensure a healthy environment for our cells?
I want to separate this key to health and natural weight loss into 3 parts which I call E.M.A. Once you understand the principles behind a healthy environment for your cells through E.M.A., then you will always know what to do and you will always know what to feed yourself in any situation in order achieve the weight-loss you desire and remain at that healthy weight for you. You will always know what to do at any time, anywhere and in any situation.
The letter E stands for EAT, what to eat. This is all about how to feed your body smartly in order to lose weight and achieve health. This is what I call education based dieting where you learn what is right for you and your family to eat in order to support healthy and natural weight loss. What to eat, when to eat and how to eat.
The problem is that most people don’t know what, when and how to eat. They are confused with all of the information out there just as I was before my research. For example, some diets state that it’s bad to eat carbohydrates while others state that it’s good to eat only carbohydrates, some diets state that you need to only count calories while others state that you need to only measure the amount of protein. Some say stop eating at 7pm and other say it’s the total caloric intake in 24 hours that matters. Education based dieting teaches you exactly what, when and how out of the all the information out there is right, which information is based on real scientific, non biased evidence, and which is not. This education based dieting gets you on the right path to eating the right foods, at the right time, and in the right way and proportions so that you will be healthy and will even help you to reverse disease states including heart disease and some forms of cancers as well as type 2 diabetes.
By learning education based dieting you will know what, when and how to eat in every and any situation. You will not be confused again and you will have the tools to keep you from making common mistakes that keep the weight on.
The next letter is M. The M stands for mindset. Once you know which foods to eat, which foods are healthy and which foods are good for you, you need to change the neural networks that are working constantly against you to get you to look at the foods which are not beneficial for you. By changing where you place your focus, the neural networks that your brain cells are used to fire in, you can change your default patterns of thinking to one that will promote weight loss and improve your health habits forever. This is the psychology behind achieving your desire. By changing your thought patterns to those of thin and healthy people, you will be able to easily change your habits to ones that support you on your path to self improvement.
Another reason your mindset is so important to determining your health destiny is because your mindset also influences the environment of your cells. How?
Let’s take for example 2 people driving in their car on the way to work and suddenly there is an unexpected jam on the motorway. These two people are in the same jam and they both need to be at work at the same time.
One person sees the traffic jam and he starts getting stressed. Then he gets angry and starts losing patience. Smoke starts to come out of his ears, his veins start coming out of his head, and his adrenal glands starts releasing stress hormones in response to the way he perceives the situation including adrenaline and cortisol. Adrenaline increases his heart rate, elevates his blood pressure, increases blood sugar levels, boosts energy supplies to his muscles and alters his immune system responses. This creates an unhealthy cell environment and disrupts almost all the body’s processes and puts you at increased risk of numerous health problems including weight gain and diabetes.
Now the other person sees the traffic jam and knows he can’t do anything about it. He thinks to himself that he is surely not the only person from work stuck in this jam and decides to make use of his free time that he has just been given. He turns on a podcast that he’s been wanting to hear or he plays some nice music that he loves and he feels good. These good feelings release dopamine and serotonin which make him feel good and surround his cells with a supportive and protective environment. This is why mindset and a persons attitude is an important factor that must be addressed for long-term health and lasting weight loss.
The third letter is the letter A. A stands for action or activities. This is all about the best physical actions that support your health and your natural weight loss. Here we go into
1. exercise program
2. sleeping habits
3. how to create a health supporting environment for yourself by choosing health promoting products such as supplements and removing toxic products from your household environment.
4. fasting
All of these are part of the action plan. Once you have the right mindset and you know which foods to eat you maintain your body’s health by taking the right health and weight loss promoting actions, and this includes making the right choices that are best for your body to keep you with low toxicity levels so that your body won’t store more fat and will break down fat instead. This will lead you on the sure path to health and weight loss.
Now, I know that it is not easy to change all your previous choices and habits, especially if you don’t know to what you need to change them, nor how to change them in an easy way that won’t set loose your animal instinct which says: no, I don’t want change, I like my comfort zone, I don’t like adventures.
Changing eating habits ingrained for generations in a persons family is something that is very hard to do, and not only is it hard, people who are not living this way and did not grow up with these foods do not know how to make these foods and what they should be eating at every meal.
Moreover, to form new habits that last, it is necessary to do the change gradually, in baby steps in order not to overwhelm yourself and get yourself into a state of fear that you won’t be able to make the changes, and then you will probably think it is impossible to live like this and give up even before you start.
Therefore you want to learn from someone that this is their passion.
